Lilian Bier welcomes new clients to her offices at Creekside 5 in Beaverton, Oregon.
Ms. Bier specializes in domestic relations law, including divorce, child custody, support
issues (including collection of child and spousal support), restraining orders, pre-marital
agreements, domestic partnerships and adoptions. Although Ms. Bier practices litigation, she is also trained
in collaborative law.
Divorce issues are difficult and emotionally distressing. Many couples would rather not go to court. Ms.
Bier guides her clients in obtaining the best possible resolution from a position of strength. During her
20 plus years' experience, Ms. Bier has obtained for her clients critical spousal support, parenting time
and custody awards. Most clients are referrals from the larger community or are former clients, a testament
to Ms. Bier's diligence and determination in fairly representing her clients' interests. Ms. Bier attempts
to balance her role as litigator with the understanding that many clients in family law require an attorney
who will listen to their concerns. Ms. Bier's goal is to have her clients regain control of
their lives and feel confident about their future at the conclusion of the dissolution.
The Process:
Prospective clients typically contact Ms. Bier's office by phone; arrange an initial
consultation; and meet with Ms. Bier for an hour or two. There is no pressure at this meeting, which serves
mainly as an information-gathering session. The decision of whether a person wishes to retain can be made at
any time. At the meeting, clients are welcome to ask any questions they may have regarding fees, estimated
total cost, procedural issues, what they can expect by way of services from Ms. Bier, and the possible expected
outcome given the facts of the case.
